Hits for Kids: the summer can come!

Summer and fun for the whole family

Younger and older children can look forward to exciting holiday adventures during their stay on the Hochkönig. Every day of the week from mid-June to mid-September a different excursion with Manfred Marmot's Hits for Kids programme and the child care team awaits your children from the age of 6.

The programme is of course free. On request, your offspring will be brought from the hotel to the meeting point. In the Animal Mountain Village alone and in and around the Mühlbach region there are more than 30 excursion destinations. In the meantime the grown-ups can relax during a hike or in the spa area at the Bergheimat Family Hotel

Weekly programme for children

Monday: Kniegut adventure farm

Young explorers can trace the alpacas at the Kniegut adventure farm where the two alpacas Hera and Pako are the stars of the petting zoo. Where do the alpacas come from? What do they eat? What do they feel like? The children will learn all this and more at the Kniegut farm. Not only lamas, but also cows, horses, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, chickens, ducks, pot-bellied pigs, cats and the farm's dog Ramses can be watched, fed and petted.

Tuesday: climbing for children

Sport enthusiastic children and teenagers can enjoy climbing for children at the children's fun-park. The youngsters will climb rocks of up to 20 metres under the guidance of professional climbing pros. Via a zip line they will get from rock to rock in an altitude of about 30 metres.

Wednesday: Toni's Alpine Playground

The cable car will take the children up to the Karbachalm. Various exciting game stations, like a water and sand playground, a climbing wall, a slide-tower, roundabouts and much more is waiting for the cheerful children. There are also two panorama slacklines, a hiking path that is suitable for prams and a family bike trail, that leads you over 6.5km to the valley.

Thursday: Pronebengut adventure farm

A ride to the Pronebegut adventure farm with the Mühlbach children's train is already an adventure. At the Pronebengut farm children can enjoy pony riding, face paint, goat feeding or just a visit the petting zoo with all its animals. At the end of the trip delicious sausages are roasted at the campfire, before they make their way back to the valley. There the local baker will treat the children will homemade ice cream.

Friday: Good Fishing!

During an adventurous day at the Arthurhaus you can try your luck with the fishing rod. If you like you can also take the fish you caught home with you. Afterwards try your archery luck at the 3D bow course under professional guidance. At the Arthurhaus you can also watch the marmot's habitat up close.

Further adventures in the Animal Mountain Village

At the Formaugut adventure farm, where we get our fresh organic milk from, right at the foot of the Hochkönig, all sorts of furry and feathered animals are waiting for the curious children petting zoo. The programme also includes a stable tour and the children can even try milking a cow. A kids snack and outdoor games round off this excursion.

Your offspring can find Mühlbach's hidden treasures during a geocaching tour to the Stegmoosalm. Afterwards they will meet the forest's animals during a picnic in the unspoilt natural environment.
