For a more comfortable start, 5 summer cable cars run on different days. All you have to do is make up your mind and then set off with your packed rucksack and hiking boots.

The tours in the Hochkönig region are always well signposted and lead to hill farms and mountain inns, mountain lakes and also informative stops as the interactive hiking trails point out many of nature’s special features in the Salzburger Land to you. A very special, personal hiking experience awaits you on the Königsweg trail. This long-distance 73 km hiking trails leads past very close to the Hotel Bergheimat. This hike in stages is simply magical: you cross lush green pastures and fragrant forests, rugged mountain formations rise up steeply towards the sky to the sides. You can take a stop at the rustic mountain inns along the Königsweg trail.

The Salzburger Almenweg

The Almenweg trail leads through the majority of the Salzburg Alps and along the Hochkönig on the first three stages. The beauty and silence of the mountains that let you take a deep breath and top up your energy levels accompany you on this leisurely hill farm hike.

Guided hiking tours
