Tobogganing in Salzburg
One of the most exciting experience for your winter holidays is tobogganing in Salzburg. A very special sledding expedition begins right here at the hotel, either in combination with a one-hour hike through the winter forest, or a ride on the ski shuttle followed by a half-hour walk to the Kopphütte, perched at 1300 m above sea level. Once there, for a small fee you can rent out a sled or toboggan and then you can start tobogganing in Salzburg. The sledding trail (3.5 km long and dropping 447 m) takes you partially through a forest, across the Scheideggberg to the Rohrmoosriedel and then directly to the village of Mühlbach. Once there, you can drop off your toboggans and return via the free ski shuttle to the hotel.
Another possibility for tobogganing in Salzburg is floodlit tobogganing. A floodlit sledding hill (450m long) runs from the Reithgut, past the village mill and directly into the centre of Mühlbach.
Sleds and bobs can be borrowed from the hotel free of charge.
